Dan McDonough

Dan is a seasoned electrical engineer with over 20 years of experience in all phases of detail design associated with electrical engineering consulting in multiple business sectors. His expertise includes electrical power studies, short-circuit/arc-flash studies, and coordination. Dan also has extensive experience in on-site construction coordination and management, as well as all phases of drafting and electrical and instrumentation design.

As an electrical engineer, Dan is responsible for the design, layout, and drafting — manual and CAD — of single-line diagrams, P&IDs, PFDs, loop sheets, installation details, wiring diagrams, lighting plans, grounding plans, location plans, field verification, and checking. He leads our National team at HP Engineering to provide nationwide engineering services. In this role, Dan establishes engineering best practices, coaches and mentors young designers, and oversees all MEP work completed by his team.
