As 2022 concludes, we take this opportunity to reminisce on a year none of us could have envisioned. It was another tricky year in more ways than one, with COVID-19, rising inflation, and a looming recession. While there were obstacles, HP Engineering proved how resilient we are as a company – despite the most testing times.
Here are some highlights of our year:
Leadership Changes: In January, we started the new year with a new leadership structure by evolving our leadership team to include a new role for President and two positions in Rogers for a Regional Accounts Director and a Regional Engineering Manager.
Half-Day Fridays: what started as a pilot has become one of our favorite benefits. We started offering Half-Day Fridays to prioritize our work Monday-Thursday so we can enjoy Friday afternoons off.
Our GSA program launched: we are proud to be a federal government GSA contract holder. Through our GSA program, we can submit proposals to work on national federal projects backed by the United States government. With our GSA program, we also sell mechanical, electrical, and plumbing products through the federal marketplace.
Internal Leadership Development Program: our CEO, Brandon Pinkerton, developed and launched a brand new leadership development program for our staff. This program aims to grow and develop leaders, so our customers receive the best possible quality and service. Our CEO believes that investing in leadership is one of the number one ways to increase employee and customer satisfaction, increase retention and build our bench with individuals equipped to step into leadership positions within our company.
New Office Spaces: our Tulsa, Rogers, and Oklahoma City offices all relocated to provide more space and accommodations for our growing staff. Our office spaces also have meeting room facilities and updated technology to serve our customers better.
Corporate Retreat: we hosted our corporate retreat in August at Tatanka Ranch. We provided many activities, including a scavenger hunt for free gas for a year, a competitive Left, Right, and Center tournament, and ranch-themed experiences such as camping, fishing, and horseback riding.
15th Anniversary: this September, we celebrated our 15th Anniversary. In 2007, Bill Hodge and Brandon Pinkerton started HP Engineering because they knew they could provide something unique to the AEC industry. Fifteen years later, HP Engineering has grown to be one of the largest engineering design firms in the region, with almost 100 employees in five different regional offices.
Through the difficulty of uncertain times, we maintained our core values. We proved we can provide world-class service with tenacity and quality regardless of what obstacles are in front of us.
To hear more about HP Engineering's year, watch our President, David Adams, along with Regional Directors Shane Wells and Dustin Yates to discuss 2022:
Happy New Year! We look forward to working with you in 2023.
